Urbanjazz ™ Radio will soon be providing Training programming in conjunction with; Code 7 Music Ltd, the aim of which will be to provide Radio Broadcast & Digital Media training for Disadvantaged and Excluded Youth, as well as long-term Unemployed through our Community based initiative called B-Creative.

B-Creative - Connecting Creativity to Employment

B-Creative is a Community Training programme, which aims at harnessing the creative talents of London's economically disadvantaged Youth, and Adults in partnership with Code 7 Music from our headquarters located at: Block A, Offley works, 44-46 Offley Road, Oval. Together we will form 'Code 7 Radio, which will act as a creative hub connecting creativity to employment in and around the borough of Lambeth, which is currently one of the UK's most disenfranchised areas.

Background
London is reputed to be one of the leading international centres of creativity accounting for £21 billion or 16% of London Gross Value Added (GVA) annually. Multi-Media is the second largest industry after the business services sector and ranges from music, video games to design and fashion. This sector also offers London's second biggest source of job growth, contributing roughly one in every five new jobs.
The aim of B-Creative is to provide opportunities through Training & Work Experience in various fields such as; Radio Broadcasting, as well as other Multi-Media programmes for disenfranchised youth & Unemployed adults in the London area by:

"Develop community based creative enterprises.
We work with talented disadvantaged youth within the community to develop and enhance their skills, by way of our 8 week Radio Broadcast skills programme.

"Connecting creativity to employment.
We do this by researching and collating latest job vacancies in the press and on the internet for client access, organizing work experience opportunities in companies, supporting clients to develop creative career paths.

Acredited Pre-Vocational Course - 8 week course, 2 days per week, 6 hrs per week.

Participants will gain an ASDAN Accredited Pre-Vocational, entry level Radio Broadcasting training course. Which will provide a basic understanding of industry standard software programs such as; Cool Edit Pro (Adobe Audtion) & Wavelab. Including a number of other familiar programme packages such as Microsoft office.
