Entry Level Requirements

Participants in the project will be required to undertake mandatory Literacy & Numeracy classes provided by local Colleges, as an entry prerequisite to be eligible for the course, as a means to help improve their level of education as well as o help improve their chances of progressing to Higher Education and future Employment. In addition other areas of development such as behavioural problems will be examined and worked on improvement.

The Youth Breakthrough Project offer a number of Multi-Media Educational Workshops to enable young people to gain hands-on training in specialist skills development in areas such Radio, Magazine editing, I.T., Music Production & Artist Development. The organisation’s services will be provided by an assortment of highly qualified and experienced Professionals from the Multi-Media Entertainment industries such as Record Producers, Musicians, Film Makers, Media-Arts Lecturers & Radio Broadcasters. All Employees and Volunteers, are recruited from both the Public & Private sectors, in order to ensure that the Project has the highest quality of Tutors.

Students will gain good entry level Book Publishing Skills based training, from Iceburg Books Independent Black Book Publishers, in areas covering; Microsoft Word Processing, Literacy (Essay Writing), Graphic Design, Book Layouts and useful practical I.T Skills.
